The Alberta government has released a paid survey, to obtain general general public input regarding the legalization of cannabis inside our province. We wanted to outline our stance and recommendations regarding some of the questions in the survey, notably the one about who should sell cannabis before you complete the survey:
In your view, whom should obtain and operate retail cannabis outlets in Alberta?
Private shops
Government shops
We vote for personal shops to offer cannabis, when legalized, for the following reasons:
The private sector produces brand new jobs for Albertans.
More competition available on the market, equates to reduce rates for customers.
The sector that is private suggest more variety and much more options for customers in terms of products available, and places to acquire from.
Ease of access inside the sector that is private with an increase of alternatives for point of purchase.
More expertise into the sector that is private in permitting individuals who specialize and so are knowledgeable in cannabis to function as the people attempting to sell it.
there is less burden on Alberta taxpayers if cannabis comes through personal organizations, as these organizations will privately be funded too.
Private owners can meet up with the need for cannabis, and may react faster to opening stores that are new getting new services, cbd etc. The black market will slowly take over with government stores with slower government processes for new businesses.
Private is really a model that is proven legalized cannabis, along with 28 states in the usa which have legalized cannabis by using this style of company.
